Transpicuous News: Vetoing the Veto & keep a close eye on Jerusalem

Welcome to Transpicuous News, where the "news" is laughable and what isn't reported is well worth watching!

Todays show opens with my report on Obama's Veto getting Veto'ed by the US Senate.  This could be an interesting setting of precedent.  Are we about to see the US open the door to the world suing THEM?

After making fun of Erdogan and John Kerry, I dig into the main story of today's report:  The death (and timing thereof) of Shimon Peres- former two time Prime Minister, and former President of Israel.  The very last "Founding Father" of the Nation of Israel, and the last signatory of the Oslo Peace Accords.  ...and oh the timing on his funeral!!

One little piece that I forgot to mention during today's report:

Peres has donated his Corneas for transplant.  Now, as I said: who the hell would want the corneas of a 93 year old man?  What's interesting about this came up in a message a friend sent me on Facebook about the corneas.  The human cornea is made up of a type of keratin- such as is found in hair and nails and .... horns. The Root word of cornea is:

cor·ne·ous  [kawr-nee-uh-s]

consisting of a horny substance; horny.

Which is interesting when you take into account that Peres' funeral will be just a day before Rosh Hashanah- which is also called "The Feast of Trumpets.  Rosh Hashanah customs include sounding the shofar (a hollowed-out ram's horn), as prescribed in the Torah, following the prescription of the Hebrew Bible to "raise a noise" on Yom Teruah

  Interesting times my friends!!
